hello guys today i gonna tell you some thing about routers. router is a device which connects you to the internet. but it is user transperant so it will never show you how you are connected to inetrnet.
(for EX: if you browse a website) it create route between any ip address certain hop then it forward the data traffic of your system to another router then other does the same process and forward to its neighbour router and this process keep going at last you reached your favourite website.
this devices also have brains like switches but router plays a key role in networks.
without this device you cannot be able to connect to your favourite website.
like: google.com,yahoo.com etc.
you can deploy different services on this device like you want to play on-line game with a buddy
so you can port forward on your router in order to access your local network by outside world,
you can also deploy VPN- virtual private network, to give access outsider to use your local networks.
vpns just convert your public ip to a different ip as well as location.
Cisco router are the best in the market.
but wait juniper are also mainly known for their words and services.
this two brands are insane. also used in enterprise and big organisation.
you can create static as well as dynamic routes to send and receive data from router to router connectivity.
RIP is used for dynamic routing, OSPF,BGP and EIGRP are a few examples of routing protocol.
